Who we are
Axioms (axioms.gg) is a live analysis layer for streamed debates, operated by its founder. Questions about this policy: [YOUR EMAIL].
What Axioms does
Each speaker in a debate is recorded on their own microphone through our desktop client, transcribed, and analysed by AI that tracks claims and evidence on a public board. Viewers can create a free account to vote for fact checks. AI processing is the product, if you speak in a debate run through Axioms, your words are transcribed by machine and analysed by large language models, and the result publishes live with an “AI-generated ยท unverified” label.
What we do not collect
- No payment information, the service is free while in beta.
- No advertising trackers, no cross-site tracking, no analytics cookies.
- No precise location, no contact lists, no device fingerprinting.
- No audio outside a live session, the client's recording indicator is always visible while capturing, and capture stops when the session ends.
What we collect
Account data
Email address, a password hash (held by our auth provider, we never see the password), your handle, display name, and account type (streamer or viewer).
Speaker data
If you are invited to speak: the email address the invite is sent to, the display name the organiser gave you, your microphone audio during the live debate only, and the transcript made from it. Raw audio is streamed for transcription and never stored anywhere. The transcript, the claims extracted from it, and their timing are stored, they are the debate's public record.
Viewer activity
Which claims you voted to fact-check, attached to your account. Vote totals are public; who voted for what is not.
Operational logs
Server logs (errors, request metadata) kept by our hosting providers for debugging, on short provider-default retention.
How data is classified and handled

AI processing, who sees what
Two kinds of AI providers process debate content, only while a debate is live, and only over authenticated APIs:
- Speech-to-text: Deepgram transcribes each speaker's audio stream.
- Language models: transcripts and board state are sent through OpenRouter to the model the debate's organiser selected, to extract claims and maintain the board.
We do not use your data to train AI models, and we send debate content only to API services under commercial terms, not to consumer AI tools. AI output is probabilistic: transcripts and claim tracking can be wrong, and every AI-derived element is labelled as AI-generated and unverified.

That is the whole list. No advertising or analytics cookies exist, so there is no consent banner theatre, just this table. The app and desktop client also keep a few preferences (dismissed notices, input gain) in your own browser's local storage, which never leaves your machine.

The model provider behind OpenRouter depends on the model the debate's organiser selects; the selection is shown in the debate's setup. Data submitted through these APIs is governed by each provider's terms and is not used by them to train models under their API terms.
Retention
- Microphone audio: never stored, transcribed in transit and gone.
- Transcripts, claims, board content: kept as the debate's record until the organiser deletes the debate.
- Join tokens: expire automatically and become useless after the debate ends.
- Account data: kept until you ask us to delete the account.
- Server logs: provider-default short retention, used only for debugging and security.
Your rights
Wherever you are, email [YOUR EMAIL] to access, correct, export, or delete your data; we respond within 30 days. If you are in the EEA/UK, you additionally have the GDPR rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to complain to your supervisory authority. If you are in California, we do not sell or share personal information as the CCPA defines those terms.
International transfers
Our providers process data in the United States. If you use Axioms from elsewhere, your data is transferred there under the safeguards in each provider's terms.
Children
Axioms is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If a child has used it, contact us and we will delete the data.
Security
Everything travels over TLS. Database access is gated by row-level security; board writes happen only from our own services. Join links are long, random, single-purpose and expiring. Passwords are hashed by our auth provider and never touch our code.

Material changes are posted here with a new date. Keep an eye on the date above.
